Welcome to the Michigan Chapter of Loners On Wheels

Membership to the MI-LoWs is only $15.00 per year, BUT you must also be a member of the National Loners on Wheels.


Visitors (those National Low members) and guests (those interested in our group) are always welcome at camp outs.  You
can camp with us by paying the nightly fees for a maximum of two camp outs in one year without joining.  If you bring a
friend with you, they must be of the same sex as you are.  Kids are the exception.

LONER ON WHEELS is a unique camping club for legally single adults.  camp outs are 3-4 days, Rallies are 5-6 days and
caravans are 2 to 6 weeks in duration.  We promote the mingling aspect of single life.  We are Not a dating club, but hope
you find many friends with whom to enjoy the RVing lifestyle.  We are a dog friendly group.  Each day some of our members
gather to walk their dogs as a group activity.

The Michigan Chapter has chosen to hold most of our camp outs at fair grounds.  Most fair grounds will provide Electricity,
 Water and Dump facilities along with a building we can meet in, to keep warm, hold meetings, or avoid the rain/snow,
and it is cheaper than a commercial campground.

Michigan is a large state.  It takes about 10 hours to travel from Detroit, MI to Houghton, MI in the upper peninsula.  Therefore,
we have divided the lower peninsula in half.  MI-LoWs does the southern half and MAC-LoWs takes the northern half and upper
peninsula.  The rough dividing line is US-10 right near the thumb of Michigan.  MI-LoWs usually camp on the third weekend
of the month and the MAC-LoWs use the second weekend.
